Rollback IE settings after install

After installing Windows 2k, or 9x, when you first attempt to access the internet you are prompted for your internet settings (LAN, Modem, etc.). We routinely start up explorer to load all of the updates from Microsoft and would like to be able to reset the IE wizard after we have finished. Does anyone have an idea on how this may be accomplished?
