Roll over calls to next line

We have a system that has 6 phone lines (each line has its own phone number), with only the 1st line being our published number that everyone calls. When calls come into line 1, they can "roll over" into lines 2 through 6 if line 1 is busy.

What I'd like to do is take the phone number for line 4 and have calls that come into it roll over into lines 5 and 6.

I know it has something to do with the line pools, and I can access those administrative functions, but I'm not sure what to do. Do I really need to pay some tech a fortune to come and fix this for me?

Rollover is done by the local provider. It is not a function of the phone system. You will need to call your local dialtone provider to change the rollover sequence of your lines. Brian Cox

If you already have rollover setup with Telco on lines 1 through 6, then if you call line 4 it should roll to 5, and so on. As exsmogger stated that is a feature from Telco.

Your advice is great, but I've experimented and lines 4 through 6 do not roll over when I dial the line 4 phone number.

I will try and contact verizon to work on roll over.

When you contact Verizon tell them you want a continues rollover. 1 through 6 and 6 to 1.

are you setting lines 4 5 and 6 in there own hunt group? or is this going to be in the same hunt group as lines 1-3
if different I would make 2 pool groups for each line hunt group.
