I am new to Mitel (Nortel backround)but I am hoping someone can walk me through this. I am working on a SX-200 (also running Repartee Voicemail)

I want incoming calls to roll after a certain amount of rings to other extensions. Not sure if a hunt group is the right thing here because these are individual users extensions that cannot change. Here is the scenario

Call comes into x5000 (if no answer rolls to: 5001)
Now call is ringing on 5001 (if no answer rolls to: 5002)
Now call is ringing on 5002 (if no answer rolls to VM for 5000)

What is the best way to do this? Thanks!

As I remember you can have only two alternative destinations. In this case 5001 and VM for 5000. I would try to create a mulicall button 5005 and put it to 5001 (Ring) and 5002 (Delay Ring). It doesn't take any licenses.

Forwarding will not work as the SX200 has a 2 hop maximum.

The multicall suggestion is valid but can get complicated fast with the timers and voicemail integration.

I think the following might work for you.

You will need a phantom extension created on a real port (5999) the COS for 5999 should have the minimum rings before fwd no answer. (2)

Create a terminal hunt group (pilot 5998) with the members 5001, 5002 and 5999

Forward ext 5000 an Busy/NA to the hunt group 5998.

Forward ext 5999 to Voicemail on No Answer.

the calls will ring 5000, then forward to 5001 then hunt 5002 then hunt to 5999 then forward to VM.

This satifies the 2 hop Maximum and the other requirements.

can you assist with some guidance on the sx2000? we've got the MCD feature enabled and are looking for the same functionallity as described, circular hunt then off to common vm. thanks.

The 2k is much easier. The hunt group itself can be re-routed using the 1st alternative routing forms on no answer. The timing will be tricky.

On the 3300 they recently added the ability to assign a COS to the hunt group to deal with issues such as Timers. I would imagine the 2K does not yet have it. If it does, assign the COS and set the timers and you're good to go.

If the 2K does not allow you to set the COS directly, you need to be aware that the hunt group assumes the COS of the member station with the lowest PLID. (it might be the first member but I don't think so) If all members have the same COS it works either way.
