Rogue Nodes

Greetings! I'm using CorelDraw11 (on both Win XP Pro & Mac OS X), and I'm having a real problem with "rogue nodes"...

For instance: I make text...I convert it to curves; I put an outline around the text...then I convert the outline to curves...

...and suddenly the outline is "spilling out" all over the place, and I've got nodes on top of nodes on top of hidden nodes...

I'm wasting incredible amounts of time cleaning up all these unwanted nodes! Any suggestions for limiting/preventing this?

Thanks!

Brian

Try putting the outline (I assume you mean outline not contour) before converting to curves, not saying it will be better but something to try. Good quality fonts don't notmally have too many extra nodes so check font quality. Corel does have curve smoothing which reduces nodes so that also may be worth a try.
