Rockwell modem won't get dial tone

I just installed ME after wiping everying on my computer. Even though I have installed the driver for my modem, when I try to connect to the internet I get no dial tone.

I also don't know the manufacturer of the modem - is there a way to find out?

you must first look your modem if u want help
what is your modem type ?
ME is not good
can u change your system 98 0r 2000 or other os
i can help u
