When our call center was initially setup, we paid a professional voice to do all of our recordings. Needless to say it was expensive.
I was able to use a music mixing program to edit and splice existing messages to create new ones at no cost. My company loved that.
We are going to a new pc image and my mixing program will be going away. It was a "non-supported" version(nudge nudge wink wink) so I will not be getting it back and I am sure the company would disapprove of how it was obtained.
I like to keep versions of all my recordings for later editing but have been tasked with having all the announcements recorded over again but the quality of the message was not the same when I recorded it to my pc then into the DAS card as opposed to recording it from the DAS card into my pc.
I was looking to see if anyone had a recommendation as to audio software and possibly an external mic package (similar to a webcam/mic package) that could be used.
