Win2000 adv server sp2
Backup exec 8.6
Storagetek 9714 library changer
controller #1: Library Changer (Scsi id2) and two DL7000 (Scsi id 3 and 4)
Controller #2: Two DLT7000 (Scsi id 5 and 6).

All the drives (and changer) goes suddenly "offline". To fix this i´ve restarted backup exec services or just reboot both server and Library changer. After this the system might be upp for a couple of days (even weeks) before same thing happens again.

Parden my bad English, i hope you understand what i´m trying to say.

we had a similar problem with a Dell 120T autoloader going offline.. We had Air conditioning issues in our server room. Dell tech support solution whcih worked was to stop the server and autoloader(power down)..unplug the SCSI cables, re-attach them and then first boot-up the autoloader followed by the server..
bad AC causes thermal creep in your SCSI pins which can mess-up your settings.
