anyone know the flag (if it exist at all) that allows robocopy to just copy the changes of a file after the first copy.

we want to use robocopy to copy users .pst files. if user A have 4g worth of pst data and says she add 1 more meg in a day. we want robocopy only copy the 1meg after the the second time we run it.

thanks.

It doesn't do that. It will copy the entire file if the file has changed.

How would robocopy know which parts of the file have changed without reading both files in there entirety.

I was hoping that after it reads both files, it will just copy the newer files. becuase what it doing is coping the existing files plus the new files. this is creating traffic especially with users with large files.
