Roaming profiles

Can anyone lend some knowledge about setting up roaming profiles. I am running it on a 2K server with 2K/XP clients. I finally got it to work but are there any dangers or other things i should be looking out for? What is this talking about. What snap in?

To save disk space, you can use the Delete cached copies of roaming profiles policy setting to specify that locally cached versions of roaming user profiles be deleted when the user logs off. This setting is in the Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\User Profiles node of the Group Policy Object Editor snap-in.

for roaming profile, you got the trade-off, easy-management, difficult to tshooting slow logon/off from time to time.

That depends on how transient your users are. How often do they log on to multiple machines?
Roaming profiles is tough on your administration time and effort although in an education/school setting where users hardly use the same workstation it is the only way to go.
My advise is to develop some documentation for your users on how to configure certain things such as thier internet connection, email, and printers.
This way if they do have to log on to a new machine, they can check a webserver for an FAQ or other help.
