I've worked out the Roaming profile part of Windows 2003 server some what.... I need to know how I create the actuel profile that stores all the info in it that the user is going to users Login info is going to point to

You need to create a folder on the server and give it a suitable share name.

Then within the shared folder create each users folder for example the main folder might be "Shared Users" then within here you might have "Fred Smith" etc.

Each folder in here has to be assigned Security permissions, by right clicking each folder and clicking the security tab. You should then add the users login name and also add Domain Admins and Users to this. This saves a lot of trouble later, with client errors.

Then under the Active Directory you need to locate the user name that you have just created the folder for and open its properties, go to the Profile tab and enter the UNC to the shared folde that you have just created, e.g. \\server\shared folders\fredsmith\

You need to then log in on the workstation and the profile will then be complete. If you log off the workstation and then look in the folder on the server for that particular user you should see folders such as Applications Data and Desktop etc...

If you can see you have successfully created a Roaming Profile.
