Roaming Profiles not saving deletions - Windows 2000 AD

Hi, our roaming profiles don't always save changes back to the server from the desktops, if those changes are deletions. For instance if you add a file to your desktop, log off, log back on, that file is still on your desktop and so has been saved to the server copy of the profile. If you then delete that file, log off, log back on, the file appears back on the desktop, so the change has not been saved to the server. This is in a Windows 2000 Server Active Directory with Window 2000 Pro and Windows XP workstations.

Any ideas?
