Hi everybody,
I have a couple of questions that are puzzling me and I was hoping someone can help explain them or tell me that it's just a bug.
Issue 1. Roaming profiles is disabled in smb.conf on my Samba domain controller and the local W2K profile is set to local. Why would the whole user profile under Documents & Settings on the W2K client get uploaded when the user logs off.
Issue 2. In smb.conf there is no mention anywhere for the users home directory to be mapped to drive z: on the client, yet it is being mapped everytime. Is it possibly a default parameter that needs to be changed?
Another weird thing with this roaming profile issue, I setup two machines in basically the exact same process. I created a user account then added the client machine to the domain. Setup the profiles etc, then went to log them both off. One took a long time and the other shutdown almost immediately. Obviously one was uploading the profile and the other wasn't. These were the same spec machine being added to the same domain with almost exact profiles.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
