Hi,

I would like to manage the folowing thing:

I have a about 70 desktop PC's. They are all joined to a domain. I also have about 5 notebooks. Those are also joined to the domain.

Now all users must be able to log on to any desktop. And they must be able to see their own profile and files. (thats probably roaming profile?) Even the 5 users of the 5 notebooks must be able to log on to a PC and have their folders and profile available. So I added a group policy that does roaming profiles. Now I have a problem with the notebooks. They can go offline. How can I set up a situation so that those notbooks synchornize verry well with their online profile and their folders. I configured the laptops so that all files and folders that are on the server as offline folders/files but the synchronization is not working verry well.

Sometimes you can't access files when you are offline. (it sais can't find server wich is logical becouse they'r offline.) The blue arrow icon is next to those files to but I can't open them.
Also if their are files deleted when they are offline. And go back online the files are back. When they go offline again the files are still gone ??? So if you plug in the network cable they are back. Pull it out they are gone.

Is there a better solution for this?

thanks in advance.

tank you,

best regards,

Your synchronization problem may be that the folders haven't synchronized yet. The default is to synchronize when the user logs off. Most notebook users will disconnect before they log off and thus no synchronization can occur.
