Hi,

I have been using roaming profiles for awhile now, but have stumbled across some odd behaviour.

A user away from the network makes some changes. The next day he logs on to the network, and the changes he has made disappear, and the old profile is shown. I always thought (and indeed have seen in practice over many months), that if a user changes something when they are disconnected, that change will stay even if they then logon to the network. Then when they logoff the profile is saved and the changes are saved. Correct?

I think it depends on what you mean by "changed" the local offline profile. This could be normal behavior. Roaming prifiles merge with the local profile so... if you for example are "offline" or logging in cached and delete a few shortcuts on your desktop. Then you are back on the network and login, the roaming profile and the local profile will merge and those deleted shortcuts will reappear. You can now delete them again and log off and that change will be saved up to your roaming profile.
