Roaming profile problem-Win 2K pro.

My son-in-laws computer is not on a network. He was locked out of his desktop by a roaming profile problem. He has Go-Back installed and had to roll back to 4 days prior to the problem to get back to his desktop. How do we go about correcting this problem? The message he received was;

"Windows cannot unload your registry class file. If you have a roaming profile, your settings are not replicated"

He does not have a roaming profile.
