Hi

I Have a 14 user system running one SBS2003 and one Windows server 2003. The second windows 2003 server acts as a terminal server and is used for RDP by remote users. My problem is when users have connected remotely using RDP over VPN to the second windows server and then come in the office and use a desktop, their roaming profile has not correctly updated (deleted files reappear etc). It's as if the secondary server local profile takes priority over the profile created by desktops and hence is copied back to the profiles on the SBS2003. Can anybody advise?

Thanks

That is correct, they will have one profile for there desktop and one for their desktop on TS. It is specified in AD Users. If this is set up then they will have two profiles. You might want to point them at the same location?

Cheers

Hi Scott

I have pointed TS profiles to the same location using gpedit on both servers. the profile loads correctly when using terminal services and local desktop. problem is when you delete a file using the local desktop and log off and then log on to the terminal services the deleted file reappears!?

Thanks again

Tim

Try logging off when you are in terminal services and then relog back on.

I should clarify, try logging out of the TS session through windows. When you close out of Remote desktop it does't log you off TS. You can look in the TS manager to verify this.

I ensure that i log off every time i finish an RDP session but i still have the problem. Also, i've checked ts manager and no sessions are open. I delete the file on the desktop log off and then log on using RDP to the terminal server, profile is loaded from shared location on file server, new files appear but so do deleted ones!!
