I need to create an extension and then be able to transfer all calls to a different extension depending on where this roaming employee is sitting for the day.

Thanks,

Fred

You could give an adjunct extension an authorization code, and then forward it to whatever extension he is sitting at.

Or, it's pretty easy to add and delete a primary coverage button on an as needed basis.

Or, even better, teach him how to use "Follow Me." To use this, he will sit down at his "place for the day," press FEATURE 34, and then, enter HIS extension number (the one you create, not the one he's sitting at). To cancel this, press FEATURE *34, then his extension number. Wherever he has "follow me" turned on for HIs extension, his calls will follow him to that phone. Thats why its called "Follow Me."

Thanks everyone. I've created the extention and programmed the phone where the employee is sitting with the follow-me feature. When I place a call to that extention it does not ring and goes diretly into vm.

Ideas,

Fred

The extension being followed must be a REAL RINING extension, not an unequipped MLX or MFM Port.

So, if you have some spare T&R Ports, use one of them for the ROAMER's extension, if not, put a cover button on some one's phone for the ROAMER.

IF you don't have any t&r Ports, let us know what kind of VMAIL you have.
