Whenever I use my left mouse button to proceed to a page, IE won't let me do it, or it will go to the page for a moment then return to the previous page. Whenever I use the right mouse button to surf it functions properly.

This issue is also apparent in some of my Windows applications . It will not even let me proceed any further.

Some of my work is with Mozilla Firefox. The button works properly in that application.

Any help is really appreciated.

If you're using Windows XP, run up the Control Panel, go to 'Mouse', and on the first tab ('Buttons'), make sure the 'Switch primary and secondary buttons' is unchecked.
