WE have Roadrunner Cable modem connected to a Linksys Router/HUB.
4 NT Workstations 4 w/SP6, Currently they login but no Workgroup or Domain shows.
Their NIC cards TCP/IP settings are set to "Obtain IP from DHCP Server". They can get on the network just fine and see each other.
We have a laptop that controls PLC’s and has a static IP
If I change it to get IP from DHCP server it can get on the internet but loose connection with PLC's. It's IP needs to be 3.0.0.3 for PLC’s to talk to it.
Is there a way to set Internet Explorer in any Computor to see the IP of the cable modem or HUB some how and give all the other PC's static IPs too. So they can communicate with PLC’s and see the Laptop
We want all PC’s to get on Internet and all to see each other in the Network to Print and so on and the Laptop to talk to PLC's without having to switch everything around all the time.
Currently there is no Domain, so there no PDC, but we can get on if that would make it easier.
TIA
