Hi,

I am trying to configure a RMX1500 Polycom VC bridge ISDN card. The Telco here in Botswana, has installed two PRI lines into the client's Head Quarters. There have given me a pilot number of 3956071 and DDI range 3715500-3715599

This doesn't make sense to me as I was expecting to be given two ranges of numbers, with 30 numbers in each range. We use E1. I have two questions:

1. Am I able to arbitrarily split the DDI and enter two ranges? eg. 3715500-3715550 and 3715551-3715599
2. I am correct in thinking that the pilot number is relevant for VC purposes as there doesn't seem to be anywhere to enter it into configuration of the RMX 1500.

I am unfamiliar with PRI/BRI ISDN lines in general, I am more of an IT guy than telecomms.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alex
