rmtdevprt message in System event log

Hello,

I am running a server with Arcserve Backup v9 installed and am getting the following messages appearing in my system event log. Can anyone tell me what it means and how to resolve?

I have the same trouble. Any help would be much appreciated. W2K SP3 server.

I contacted CA about this error message and they were not sure of the cause. CA suggested to remove and reinstall the Arcserve server. This was a bit drastic, but as the server in question was not live yet, I thought it should be OK. I have now reinstalled the Arcserve software and the error does not continue to appear.

What worries me was the cause?? I guess I won't be finding out....

A little late my answer, but maybe someone reads it anyway ... The error comes with installing the RAID option and shows up in ARCserve 2000 and in version 9. Unfortunately there is, as far as I know, no solution for it ...
