I am using a client that registers to the server using RMIRegistry through a VPN client. I am able to register with the server, but no matter what I try, the server always registers the outside IP address. When the server tries to send a response to the client, the action fails. Is there any way to tell the RMIReg to take a specific IP address (the .rmi.server.hostname= did not work) so that I can register using the inside VPN address from an outside client?
