I'm working on a senior project, part of which is to (hopefully) design an interface (in vhdl) that will allow an RMII MAC to interface with an MII PHY. We've got to work with the board we have (which has an MII PHY).
Has anyone seen this done before or know of something similiar. I'm still reading the 802.3, RMII, and MII specs, so this is all fairly new. So far it seems doable, but Im wondering if there are any hidden problems with such an interface. Im a bit concerned because I cant find anything similar thats been done.
