Hi all,
Thanks in advance for reading and any posts.
I was reading some RMAN documentation for 10g although most of our instances are 9i. Anyhow I was reading up about high availablity of the rman repositry and it got me to thinking. According to the RMAN advanced guide (from the 10g libary) you can register a database with 2 RMAN repositry databases. I was just wondering if anyone had done this? It seems like a good practice in terms of disaster recovery. Theres not a lot of info on the notes about it, but anyhow. We have 2 main networks really 1 in the us and one in the uk. Anyhow we run 2 rman repositries (1 for the us and one for the uk). Anyhow I was thinking, would there be anything stopping us from using the uk rman repositry database for the us repositry and vice versa?
Anyhow any opinions about this are welcomed.
thanks,
