Dear all,
I try to restore a full database 8.1.7 using backup files that is produced by omniback II in Windows 2000.
The full online database backup is done succesfully . Then I deleted all datafiles including the controlfiles after I had shut the database down. I don't use a recovery catalog database, so the controlfiles must be restored first. I started the database to the nomount position and run the restore command. But it failed with this message:
RMAN> run{
2> allocate channel t1 type 'SBT_TAPE';
3> restore controlfile;
4> }
