anyone ever install release 6 or 7 linux servers and configure them all as member servers and deploy applications without configuring UCM and PSS?

just wondering

thanks,
tia p.

Nope.

As far as I know, software deployment in 6.0 must be from the Primary Security Server.

Only way you can do it is if you have a pure TDM system. If you have one signaling server, you have to configure UCM.

Not sure about this but if your running CPIV process it might be doable. But if you use CPPM CPDC callservers they have to be deployed from the Deployment manager(UCM).
And in release 7 the callservers SA/HA system is assigned in UCM aswell?

you should be able to deploy applications locally from the linuxbase
before using UCM
