Just upgraded to 5.5 and the agent greeting has not worked since. The Nortel vendor has told me this may be the first 5.5 to have ever have agent greeting. I doubted that fact and was posting here to find out if anyone out there has 5.5 working with agent greeting?
We have agent greeting cards but never installed them. However they showed up on our system serial number when we requested a quote to upgrade to 5.5.
We were told they need to be upgraded if we ever wanted to use them. I believe release 1 is not compatible with 5.5 and you have to upgrade them to release 2.
Thanks...the agent greeting cards I have are release 3.02. Got them last Nov and the 5.5 in Sept. According to Nortel compatability list 5.5 switch should work with AG 3.0 and above.
Month and a half later and no resolution from Nortel. Seems the SAG will NOT work with standard IPE shelf. It will however work in our fiber remote shelf. Nortel Clearly states on the compatability matrix that it should work but doesn't.Product Bulletin would be appropriate pending some sort of resolution.
Hey Tromas- any luck with your agent greeting? We are about to upgrade 6 Option 81s to 5.5 and have agent greeting running on all. That would be awesome if we had to tell the call center agents that agent greetings won't work going forward.
So it looks like you are using standard agent greeting cards. Did Nortel mention using MC32 cards instead? Not like you would be much farther ahead most likely just curious. We just upgraded one of our sites from SAG to MC32s and have had nothing but problems.
I am not familiar with SAGs, BUT I wanted to give my two cents on MC32s cards ... supposedly there is an issue with design and the same patch used for MGCs needs to be redesigned to work on MC32s cards as the MGC AH19 fix will fix our remaining issue with our MC32s (they will basically reboot themselves (which is now patched) or the DSPs lock so we just have those cards impacted out of service right now.
Anyway, best of luck in trying to get the SAGs working and I hope Nortel releases the MC32s patch soon so we can get this DAWG issue fixed!
