**Our Problem**

We have 4 Symposium Servers that were built with release 4.2 and our IT insisted on having the database drives configured as dynamic disks. Nortel at the time did not support dynamic. However in release 5 Nortel had tested the new Win2000 dynamic disks and have approved them for the Sybase data.

**Next Step**

We are moving to Rls 5 using new servers configured according to Nortel spec but our vender refuses to suport the dynamic database drives historical data we need to backup and restore to the new server. They won't even do it if we asume the risk. We have done this upgrade and data restoral on one system and after a year have had no problems.
We need to get to Conact Centre 6 somtime next year but it's looking a bit grey.

**Question**

Do any of you know of any Nortel documention (Not NTP's . I have all of that.) about this or have ever had issues with this configuration problem? White papers or direct contact with Nortel would be a help.

I know this is way out their on the edge of this form, but the borg rule. :)
