I am actually trying to configure remote printing on my Unix server.

I have already added 3 remote printers, but unfortunately when i type this command root> lpstat -s, i do not obtain info on the remote printers. The local serial printers appear. I have tried rlpstat -t, but here too it does not work.

Can anybody help me to find the correct command which i should type to obtain all network printers ?

Many thanks
Salim

Heres an oddity I've found with rlpstat, whan using rlpstat you are required to enter the local printer name for the remote printer

rlpstat <local_printer_name>

however for my remote printers this always fails.

I use lpstat -o <remote_printer_name> and things are just fine.
I will add that all of my printers are connected using D-Link DP-101 or DP-301 printservers as I can then assign an IP{ to each printer and check the status of each printer using telnet or web browser. ***************************************
Party on, dudes!
