Hello,
I am using rlpconf to setup two network printers. I am unable to suppress banner pages though. /etc/default/lpd has:
BANNERS=0
Nothing here:
/var/spool/lp/admins/lp/interfaces
/etc/printcap:
lp1: :lp=:rm=192.168.4.20:rp=lp1:sd=/usr/spool/lpd/lp1:
lp2: :lp=:rm=192.168.4.21:rp=lp2:sd=/usr/spool/lpd/lp2:
I have tried adding ":sh:" in several locales within here and several manners.
:lp=:rm=192.168.4.20:rp=lp1:sh:sd=/usr/spool/lpd/lp1:
:lp=:rm=192.168.4.20:rp=lp1:sd=/usr/spool/lpd/lp1:sh:
But still get the banner printout:
USER:xxx
HOST:xxx
CLASS:xxx
How can I get rid of this? The HP jetdirects have no banners set in them either.
Any ideas?
Thanks scott
