Hello everyone,
I was just moved to system admin for our 4 aix 4.3.3 rs 6000 boxes. The question i have is:
When i am logged in as root on 2 of my system and rlogin across to either of the other 2 boxes a password is not required however on 2 boxes the password is required.
I would like to remove this requirement.
How can i accomplish this?
I love reading all the answers to everything you all respond to. I have learned a great deal from this forum.
Thanks

Mike

also take a look at /etc/hosts.equiv

This file, along with a local user's $HOME/.rhosts file, defines which
users on foreign hosts are permitted to remotely execute commands on
your host. The rshd, rlogind, lpd, and srcmstr programs all use this
file to determine remote user access.

Thanks everyone. i will give these a try
