Hello, all.
I am looking for this adapter kit, however, I am constrained by space (height). All kits I have found look like this:

I have quite a few of them and they all about 2 inch high.

I need something not higher then 1 inch or may be flexible so that it can be bent. Preferably still a kit and not molded at the factory.

Can anyone recommend where to get something like this?

Thx.

Every D9 that I've seen is taller than the corresponding D25.

Have you considered using something like a 9S to 9P ribbon cable extension? That would give you a right angle exit off the port.

You will probably have to get "creative", and make something custom. I had a similir situation, involving this same RJ45/DB9. It stuck out too far from the device. I used the DB9 without the casing, and wired it to a spare RJ45 jack. Wraped it with e tape and heat shrinked it. It made a nice 90 degree turn then. The heat shrink keeps it looking somewhat professional, and not a "hack" job.

I like Ed's idea, though personally I would do what rolm did.

can be bought at among many other places.

Before posting I made a contraption similar to ROLM9751's. I cut off half of the plastic casing, though, and crimped pins for DB9 directly onto wires from cat5 cable, and then used electr.tape.
The equipment owner did not like the way it looks, unfortunately...

Great idea with ribbon cable, EDFAIR! Thanks.

Thank you all for replies.

That's why you need the heat shrink tubing over the e-tape.
