Who know what we can do with the RJ-11 jack on the front of the CICS KSU???

When you install system and add lines 001-004, the rj11 plug in is there in case the power were to fail.....you could plug into that with an analog telephone and have dial tone to make a call to your Local service provider or vendor....I believe.

Raputou,

The RJ plug on the face of the CICS is a serial connection for "future use". What ever that means! I am not aware of a current use for the jack. We are not "Back to the Future" yet ( One of my all time favourite movies).

If you look closely at the cabinet above the jack you will see "10101" (Serial connection).

The emergency phone connects to pair 17 of the 2nd cable.

Hope this helps.
