Hey all,
I need a way to hide certain recipients and distribution lists from certain users or groups on the domain in the global address list. Anyone know how?.
I've played around with address book views but the distribution lists no longer appear and with 2 seperate groups the autofind text doesnt work when typing recipient in send message.
I have 3 containers on the exchange server:
recipients (internal recipients)
distribution lists (DLs)
external recipients (email addresses)

Help please.

Hi There,

1. Choose the properties for the user you want to hide from the Global Address List.
2. Choose the tab Advanced
3. Mark the check box Hide From Address Book

This should help.

Regards

Lars

Iardum,

Your reply will hide it from everyone though. Is there a way I can restrict viewing of certain recipients to certain recipients?

IE. Remote users group are not allowed to view certain DLs and recipients but Head office groupcan see all.

In that case you have to implement Address Book views and then restrict access with permissions for the View.
