We are trying to boot up a RISC 6000 from a cold start and are getting no where with the boot up. As soon as we get to this screen:
Welcome to AIX.
boot image timestamp: 15:46 09/16
The current time and date: 20:04:17 10/17/2002
number of processors: 1 size of memory: 256Mb
boot device: /pci@fed00000/scsi@b/sd@8:2
closing stdin and stdout...
The box just hangs there...forever.
The last message that we get on the LED screen is the E0518.
We have tried to boot the box using the AIX cd #1 for 4.3.3. The box appears to bypasses the cd-rom and tries to boot from the two hard drives. We have tried to swap the two drives to see about getting at least the boot up but to no avail. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?
