I am getting the error 00004E25 in the Client Installation Wizard section of the RIS installation. This is the next page after you enter a username, password, and domain.

The error discription is as follows:
..............
Could not generate a unique name for this computer.
The server (my server name) could not generate a uniquw nme for this computer.

Contact your network administrator for further assistance.

Administrators should check the remote installation service settings to ensure that the automatic computer name option is set correctly. This error also may indicate that the computer naming policy used to create a unique computer name has reached the maximum number of combinations.
....................

If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appriciated. I have been working at this for a while, and I am not getting very far. I looked on tech net, and all I can find is that they have this error number is a list of possible errors you can get for RIS, but there is no solutions.

Are you getting this message on a client during an install, or on the server when you are installing RIS? What settings do you have for the "Client computer naming format" area on the server? Is the server that you have RIS installed on a DC? Are you using a username that is in the Enterprise Admin or Domain Admin group? What security settings have you defined for the RIS server?

Without some of these questions answered it will be dificult to help you.
