We've just moved one of our Netware 5 servers from one office to another, and are having some major problems with it! The new office its in is using a different subnet (*.16.*.* as opposed to *.18.*.*) - all the netware servers in the 16 net are throwing up RIP and SAP errors, stating that the moved server claims a network address is something else:
"Node xxxx claims network address yyyy should be zzzz"
"Node xxxx (servername) claims network address yyyy should be zzzz"

the only thing i can find on novells support site is to try type "reset router" which ive done and its made no difference :(

any ideas??

Sounds like the IPX Network address is incorrect - I presume IPX is enabled. You need to find out what the site IPX Network is and change it on the server you have moved over.

If you load INETCFG at the server console, the field to change is located in Bindings / IPX / IPX Network Number. Change the field to whatever the IPX Network number for the site is, reboot the server, and the error should disappear.
