RIP and staic routes

I have a 3060. I want auto failover between two internal cisco routers. I have configured rip v2 between the sonicwall and the primary router. The sonicwall picks up the cisco routes with a metric of 120 - all well and good.

I then wanted a static route pointing to the second cisco but only used if the rip route is lost. When I put the static route in the firewall seems to crash and I end up having to reboot. I'm using 3.202 firmmware. Can anyone help.
