Rings the Bell?

I need the bell to ring upon the click event of a button.
I put code in the click event:

Set bell on
CHR(7)
Do programone.prg
etc. . . .

Can you help on why the bell will "NOT" ring (maybe my bell has been rang to many times to figure this out. . .!)?(-:

Also you can set the Bell sound to your selected wave file.
For example..

SET BELL TO "d:\winnt\media\tada.wav"

remember to include the path or make the wave file available in the default directory
Now give the command

? chr(7)

There the ring goes . !!!!!!!!

You can try it in command window as well
