I am having issues getting my phone to ring more than twice before going to the greeting from the greeting table
Here is what happens (Current Flow):

Dial Number (from external line) -> Ring 2 times -> Greeting (directory to enter last name or dial extension)

If my extension is dialed then it will ring 12 times (as set in Call Forwarding rings)

The Greeting is greeting #1 from the Function 983->AA Atdt Admin->GRTG. AA for my line is actually turned off (Ans->N). Even if I set auto answer on (Ans->AA) and make AA rings to 12, this does not change anything.
(Change AA rings done via:
How do I make the "Ring 2 times" to be longer using the phone to change the settings?
What setting do I need to edit to get more rings before the greeting table message kicks in?

PS
I think my problem may be related to something in this thread:

I might be reading your query wrongly, but if your extension on a ringing call is answered by the voicemail system after 2 rings, then it would appear that in the Call Pilot application under the line data section that your DID line is set after a period of 2 rings to answer that call.

Internal calls wouldn't follow the same path as external ones.

Do you have the Startalk or BCM Call Pilot voicemail system?.

You already know how.

Maybe you are entering the wrong Target Line number?

Find out what versions of each you have:
If you system is Norstar..
Voice Mail : F983/Log in/ press 9 and note the version #
Phone System: Go into Maintenance/System Version and note the version #

Version is:
N* Flash 2.0.10

Is there a way I find out my direct line number?
I think I am not calling the direct line but a general number

Sorry not sure what you mean.

I am on line 264 (my extension)
When I go to 983/AA/Lines/264 it says Ans:No

I have my line but not sure where to see what a direct number to me would be.

An extension is a phone and not a line.

Sounds like you need to call a tech in to check programming on the phone system since you do not know what I mean.
Ask your vendor if they do Admin training on programming....ti's a different beast then the voice mail system (F983).

If the Target line is assigned to a button on your phone then do button inquiry F*0 then press that button to see what Line # it is.
A lot of times they are Ring only on the Intercom key which wont show.
