We have programmed the auto attendant for 3 calling groups. Each has it's own delayed announcement, however while waiting for the group member to pick up the call, it continues to ring while on que rather than play music or be silent waiting for secondary announcemnt. Ex: call comes in to auto att; caller selects selector code 1 - goes to group 771, announcement telling caller to hold someone will be right with them, then the caller hears ringing in the background. We want to remove this ringing. Please help.

Sounds like your delay overflow is whacked. In a calling group, the overflow may happen because of time, number of calls in queue, or by hitting the # key, enable the one or ones you want with the correct parameters, and try again. Check that there isn't someone logged in that you missed, and the calls are really going there. For instance, if you have an autologin DCG, and you have 101, 102, and 103, as members, but then decide to move phone 101 to extension 104, and add 104 as a DCG member, but don't remove 101, then 101 may be "ringing" but you can't tell. Also, when trying from an AA, see if the rsults are the same calling the AA directly from inside vs. calling from the outside. Does your on hold feature allow for ringback or for MOH? May want to check that too.

Delay announcements react differently depending where the call is coming from. If the call is comming from a outside caller then you should have the music on hold as long as you have a music port programed and the delay announcements should come on, but if the call is from an internal extension then the call would ring instead of on hold music..

So then is your problem that you are calling from the outside, and getting ringing, rather than calling from the inside and getting ringing?
