Ringing when transfer

I have a question, when I pick up the phone and do a transfer on my 3x8 dr5.1, why is it that the person on hold does not hear the ringing? They simply continue to hear my music until the other extensions picks up. We are 6 extensions sharing 2 lines in a pool. Is there any setting i have to do?

Transfer gives you 3 options, Announce transfer -dial extention tell who is on phone and hang up to connect . Dial extention hang up caller hears ringing and connects to extention- cancel goes back to caller.
It is a transfer not a conference call.
