I am in the process of implementing an Avaya CM solution with 4621 IP phones. They are currently running on a Nortel Meridian.
Upon arrival, I have discovered that they have phones which require ringing over Valcom loudspeakers. Something that was interesting to me is that the Valcom loudspeakers are connected to the headset jack on the bottom of the Meridian phones. When that extension rings, the loudspeaker rings.
Is there a way to connect with Avaya 4621 phones? I attempted to connect the loudspeaker in the same manner as the Meridian connection and got nowhere. If not, what is the difference between the Meridian headset jack and the headset jack on the Avaya 4621?
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated, as always.
