Ringing everywhere once

Hi,
I am having BCM50 ver 2. I am facing one of our braches system an issue: Whenever an external call arrives it rings a single rings first all the extensions, then it goes to the customer dialled extension.

Where do i disable this in business element manager?

If the AA is answering your calls and the lines are assigned to the phones then the sets lines assignment need to be appear only.
And in EM it is under telephony-set DN-active DN.

It rings everywhere when the caller calls and once the desired extension is dialed, it rings on the destination DN and all other stops ringing.

I ask again: Do you have all the Lines appearing on all the phones? If you do, thats why it rings on every phone.


Are these DID's?

Is AA answering the calls?

Change the line apperance from appear & ring to appear only.

I am sorry if i am not clear.
The call attends by the AA. At the same time, a single ring rings on all the attached phone and stops. (like you say Trrrrrr) during this ring, in the display it shows LINE2 Calling and disappears. This happens to all the calls coming from outside.

Sorry to mention, I am not aware the difference of DID/PBX. I am not the one who installed this system, but I had to administer it as part of my Job!

Cook1082, in which location i should change the 'Appear only'?

Everyone is answering your question and your not getting it. Line1,2 ring on all sets in default condition. You need to go in under every set like cook already told you and find the lines and make the lines Appear Only.

Or remove the Lines from all the phones. Looks like this system was programmed wrong.

Thanks to all, it was my problem to not to understand you all. All the lines and line 125 was assigned to all phones and the appearance was 'ring only'. I dont know how did this setting applied there. Anyways, i removed the lines from each set and now is ok.
