I have been asked to look into an issue with our sister company.

They have a phone in a warehouse where the caller can press "0" to go to the reception team. The press "0" options works, but even once you are talking to reception the outside caller hears faint ringing, and the receptionist says she hears ringing as well a the caller.

I did not think we could do that without CP, but they seem to.

3902 phone

Any thoughts?

Does the warehouse stock bells? I think you need to call and hear it for yourself. Third party reports are rarely the whole story. I suspect a bad trunk (assuming everything is analog).

The phone is out of the picture if the caller presses zero. The phone was never answered, so the fact it is a 3902 or whatever does not sound like it matters. It is the line the caller dialed in on if I were to rate the probability.
