Hi,

I have a group of phones attached to a Mitel 3300 running version 9.0.1.17 software. All of the phones are setup as ACD sets because we have ACD agents who use them from time to time.

What I want to do is have a small group of them that can all be made to ring if a specific number is dialled. I've currently set this up by adding an extra line to each of the phones I want to do this with and then adding these new line numbers to a Ring Group. This works but only if ACD agents are logged into the phones, any phone in my little group that doesn't have an agent logged into it doesn't ring when the ring group is called. Is there a way to make this work even if no agent is logged in?

Many thanks for any assistance you might be able to give on this.

From the info given it seems as though you are using ACD hotdesk users as if 'standard' then key would exist on phone wether logged in or out. If you are using R9 then the phones should have a DN even when logged out so you could just add these DN's to the ring group along with the keys on the ACD agents set. This means that if some of the sets where logged in but not all when the group was rung all sets would ring regardless of logged in/out state.

Let me be sure I understand what you are saying. By DN do you mean the extension number that is assigned to the phone itself, eg 138? If so then I tried this and it says "Cannot program ACD2 sets in ring groups

I think the problem may be that when the agent is logged out it puts the phone in make busy. This would stop anything that would be in a hunt group from ringing. I think I looked at this before and couldn't (using a hunt group of keys) and couldn't come up with a work around. Perhaps multicall keys?

Yes I think you are correct in what you say about the logged out state. I'll take a look at multicall. Thanks.
