Ringer Volume Keeps Resetting 1

Does anyone know why a particular phone's ringer volume keeps getting reset to default? We haven't lost power to the system in general, and I know it's not from a user.
It is a 4424D+, and this only started happening in the last week or two.

Sounds like the phone may be defective. Remember that the volume control is three-way, i.e., it controls speakerphone volume, ringing volume and handset volume. Are all three being reset to default? If so, try replacing the phone with a known good one at the same extention - and see if the problem is solved. If so - replace/repair the phone in question.
