Ring volume on 7310 1

Hi Gens

is it possible to have the ringe volume fixed at certain level, in a way that the user can not change it

or lock the setting with a password

it seems that user (night shift) put the volume very low!! , and during the day no one can hear the phone ringing

Thats just a coaching issue. Inform the night shift not to turn it down or to return the volume before leaving.

I tried set lock and that didn't work. You could set the volume on the phone, then open it up and put a piece of tape over the contacts for the volume control.

night shift has been informed many time
same thing continue to happen
so
either to fix the volume in a way that can not be changed by user
or
install a ringer in the ceiling where they can not reach it

i opened the the phone
put a peice of tap over the contact
tested
all is well

I gather its noisy during day and quite at night so you cannot blame either...
I will assume you picked a middle level for volume to try to keep both happy
If still an issue for both then add a 7100 beside it.

Create Service modes so one does not ring during the day and reverse is at night.

That is exactly Right
i got the deprtment to select the volume level
then opened the set and placed electric tape on the contact printed circuit

either
1- fix the volume to a selected level that no one can change it,
or
2- install a second phone with same ext
or
3- install auxilary ringer
