So I've been having an issue with the two rings that are provided with the phones ("burned" into the firmware if you will) - these are Chirp1&2. These ringtones CANNOT be set to individual lines, they can only be configured as the "default" ringtone. Cisco TAC is stating this is NOT a bug, and the system is operating as it is "supposed" to.
So I've given up on TAC for this. I was thinking of a workaround, the only one I came up with was recording the ringtone, converting it and getting those RAW files onto the TFTP server so they're available to the phones for any ring setting.
I haven't tried recording these myself, but the TAC engineer did, and every attempt I made to convert that WAV file to an acceptable RAW file for CUCM was a failed one. I'll plug at this again, but the recorded tones that the engineer gave me don't really sound like Chirp1&2, so I may just re-record these and start over...
Has anyone else experienced this issue & solved it? Or maybe there's a better way I can solve this problem? I appreciate any help/advice, thanks!!
