This should be so simple, yet I know how to make a problem interesting.

We need two operator consoles at our front desk. We have a PRI, main DID mapped to 100. I want to create a calling group, 771, with 100 and 101 (renumbered 104) as members. That works fine, rings both.

Problem is the AA will not pickup at all. I have the number based over flow set to 99, the time based set to 15, and the overflow group set to 770 (voice mail). Now why won't this pickup?

Thanks in advance!

The calls would have to be in queue for longer than 15 seconds for them to get the AA. If there is a phone set to avaible, then the calls will ring the phone and not go to the AA. This is difficult when you have the group type set to group ring. I would set both consoles to unavaible and then call in, make sure the calls are pointed to the calling group and make sure that you are in queue. You can tell if you hear a ring followed by a beep. Then it should ring for 15 seconds and then go to the VM. If it doesn't go then, then start doing printout of the calling groups and extensions and dial plan routing tables.
